Thereafter he joined Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai , India’s Premier Eye Institute for Vitreoretina Surgery and research fellowship. There he was awarded the Swarnalata Punshi Best research fellow award as well. He was trained in retina surgery by multiple retina surgeons at Sankara Nethralaya and his Mentor was the legendary Dr Lingam Gopal.

Thereafter upon returning back to his hometown , Pune he worked as VitreoRetina Consultant at HV Desai Eye Hospital, Hadapsar for 1.5 years.

Since leaving HV Desai, he has been practising at various multipseciality hospitals in Pune prominent amongst whom are :
